Ladies Night is one of the most fun nights of the year. It’s a chance for the Brothers of the Lodge to show our appreciation to the wives & widows of our Lodge; and this year was no different. Many brothers that travel, have busy schedules, or are new were able to fellowship with one another.
The event was hosted on December 6th at the NCSU Club. There was a very skilled live band who kept everyone moving on the dance floor. The bar selection, meal options and decor were outstanding, not to mention the incredible weather experienced that night.
Brother Eddie Dickerson, from The Masonic Home for Children, shared a very personal and touching story. There was not one dry eye in the building; he helped us remember why we work so hard, and the potential of impact we may have in people’s lives. We were able to provide him with the check for this year’s contribution for the home.
“I would like to thank the brothers in your Lodge for a wonderful evening Saturday night in Raleigh. I have attended many events like that, but have never met a more friendly group of people as I did that night. Before the evening was over my wife were made to feel so comfortable and welcome that we were almost part of the group.” -Bro. Eddie Dickerson.
December 6th, 2013 is truly a night that all of who attended will cherish and remember as a great cementing event.
